As you may know, I am a Rotarian. Before that, I was involved with Rotaract during my days at the University of Calgary. Don't know much about Rotary? Check out www.rotary.org or watch the video below.
Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for those between the ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and they’re sponsored by a local Rotary club.
Saskatoon has a great Rotaract club, with some truly amazing and dedicated members. You can find them on facebook!
One of the many things they are currently involved in is sponsoring a celebrity hockey game in support of the Saskatoon Crisis Nursery. The Saskatoon Police hockey team plays against a team which includes the Hanson brothers (the hockey players, not the singers from the '90s!) and is refereed by Kerry Fraser. I was lucky enough to get to volunteer my time to do the program ad for them.
And for those in Saskatoon, check out the Battle of the Badges!
